Verdict

This should be no more than a schooling canter for ANAK and it seems as if Comprimario and Maskateer are the likely battlers for the forecast slot. The selection won a maiden for John Oxx before switching to the winter game and he made no mistake of scoring on hurdling debut at prohibitive odds. His presence has scared away any meaningful opposition this afternoon. Comprimario had just one run for John Dunlop prior to joining Nigel Twiston-Davies. His first run at this discipline suggested that the experience will not have been lost upon him. Maskateer made no show on two runs on the flat. Stormy Morning won a handicap at Bath for Walter Swinburn and is now trained by Lawney Hill. Dairymple is exposed as plating class under both codes. Impossible to oppose Anak and we see no reason to do so.
