In depth

Verdict

Stop The Show won over 3m2f at Plumpton last month. That was his first victory over fences in 17 starts and he may struggle to repeat that performance off a 6lb higher mark. PORTRAIT ROYALE makes more appeal. She won three chases last year at around today's trip with her latest coming at Folkestone in November. Anna Newton-Smith's mare may have found the heavy ground against her in two starts since, but today's more suitable going can see her return to winning ways and reverse earlier form with Brushford, Guydus and Heezagrey in the process.
