Verdict

Plenty of runners give this handicap hurdle a competitive look and Tempsford can take it, with Allez Frank, Onefourfun, Osako D'Airy and Seven Sky considered. Tempsford has a nice pipe opener at Uttoxeter recently when a staying on fourth of 16 and as a 12 furlong winner on the level this extra half mile should be right up his street. He acts on any ground and with a nice racing weight he is taken to score. Allez Frank looked like there was more to come when scoring at Market Rasen in August and if still fit enough after a break since then he can get heavily involved. Onefourfun was also a winner last time out when he showed improved form. Trip and ground suit and he may well continue that upward curve. Osako D'Airy goes on any ground but is tricky to win with and his losing run looks set to continue, Better Moment is probably handicapped to the hilt and the drop back in trip is not certain to suit Needle Prick, so we'll take Tempsford to score.
