Verdict

An interesting maiden for the track and it may not pay to get carried away with DUBAWI GULF at the likely odds but Ed Dunlop's filly certainly deserves to shed her maiden tag following good runs in defeat behind smart rivals at Doncaster and Goodwood. Connections are entitled to feel a little aggrieved that they're going to bump into a filly with the potential of Apace who is from a smart family and looks to possess a fair deal of ability but she has run green on both starts and got outpaced at crucial stages before running on. Menha doesn't look to be anything out of the ordinary on paper but deserves respect given her connections. The market may be the best guide to her chances and those of Tourmaline, Flying Arch and Hello Tomorrow.
