Verdict

This is a really competitive looking event with several of the 14 runners having claims including handicap newcomer Indian Shuffle and the similarly lightly raced pair of Secret Gold and Regal Bullet but marginal preference in a tricky event is just for INSTRUCTRESS. Robert Cowell's filly has been given a chance by the handicapper having slipped 7lb since her fourth at York in July and she looks worth chancing from stall one. Johnny Hancocks does have a penalty to carry for his win at Ffos Las and may struggle under 9st 9lb, while Tom Dascombe's Coconut Ice seems just a shade high in the weights at present. Mick Channon's Master Macho could do with being dropped a few pounds, while Roger Charlton's Sugar Beet may also struggle under his penalty.
