In depth

Verdict

In a pretty dire affair Moscow Gold gets a narrow vote ahead of Terrible Tenant and Wages. The selection is certainly no world beater but is well weighted on his best form. He has been as high as 81 in the past and judged on his recent second behind handicap snip Jolly Boy at Hereford he could now be on a decent mark. Terrible Tenant finished behind the selection in that Hereford race. They are off the same ratings today and so it is hard to see this one reverse the form. However he did win a couple of modest events back in April and may be on the way back to his best. He is certainly a big danger along with Wages who's recent second behind Lyndsay makes good reading in the context of this event. Tyup Pompey could prove best of the others, but Moscow Gold should be good enough to win off this mark and he gets the verdict.
