Verdict

Tom Dascombe's COCONUT ICE is becoming expensive to follow but her Ripon second and fifth in Chester's Lily Agnes Stakes make the daughter of Bahamian Bounty the clear form pick and she gets the vote to gain a deserved first success with the main dangers rated as Loved To Bits and Silver Show. Mick Channon's filly was sent off the 3/1 favourite for her debut in a Salisbury maiden last month and is surely better than she showed that day when finishing last of the eight runners. Robert Cowell's Araafa filly Arabella Fenella makes her debut and has to be considered as does Magic Cross, who should come on for her Newmarket debut but needs to. John Dunlop's Manasha is speedily bred so should appreciate being dropped to the minimum trip but she has started slowly in both races so far and more solid claims are probably held by Peter Makin's Loved To Bits, who ran encouragingly on her only outing so far at Lingfield last month. Coconut Ice has an obvious chance though and can put her experience to good use and finally open her account.
