Verdict

David Evans complicates matters by saddling Decision By One, who has been narrowly beaten in two Class 6 handicaps recently, and Kodafine, who has yet to win on Turf but gained her third Polytrack success at Lingfield last week for which she's penalised. Swendab won this very easily last season and was in tremendous form for most of the summer and won twice subsequently though he's now 17lb higher and arrives out of form. VALLARTA has only won once in 17 starts and was beaten in a lower grade event at Yarmouth last time but that was over 7f and his earlier form over this trip point to his chance so he gets the verdict. Diamondhead likes fast ground as she showed at Bath last month so he wouldn't want more rain but the former Charlie Swan-trained Bainne's three victories in Ireland came on ground with plenty of give and she's dropping to a winnable mark.
