Verdict

Derek Haydn Jones has strong claims on this handicap as he sends out a pair of last time out winners in WESTWOOD and Gwilym but with the first mentioned looking better treated the vote lands there while a third last time out success story Ray Of Joy may also have his say. The selection banished a rare poor run two starts back to grab his last time out score by seven lengths at Southwell. He's just as effective on turf and if in the same mood again he'll be tough to beat. Gwilym wasn't stopping when getting the better of Leujenie at Windsor on his latest and with the form looking rock solid from that contest he should go close. Ray Of Joy was comfortable in victory last time at Kempton but he has it to prove on turf while a fourth last time out winner Signore Momento only just held on that day but hasn't been treated that harshly in reassessment. It's all about the last time out winners here and Westwood was the most impressive of those.
