Verdict

WHISPER has won both previous races here, a bumper last spring and a novice hurdle over course and distance on Boxing Day. He can probably be forgiven his run in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month and can get back to winning ways today. Rocknrollrambo won a maiden hurdle at Thurles last month for Eugene O'Sullivan but has his first start here for Anthony Middleton and more of a danger may be Un Ami, a fair fourth at Chepstow having travelled strongly into the straight. Lecale Lad and Western Warhorse are both winning pointers and now with powerful NH yards so can't be ignored.
