Verdict

All have major question marks against them but at least ROYAL CHATELIER is one to arrive in decent form which is something that does not pertain to his five rivals. A recent third to The Last Bridge here last time was a particularly praiseworthy effort, especially in the context of this contest. Previous performances were solid enough too and he may be good enough here off the bottom rung of the handicap. Sentimentaljourney has been beaten a very long way on the last four occasions but is only six and there is room for improvement. He'll need to do so off topweight but the stable do have the knack of bringing inmates back into form after a series of disappointments. Five Out Of Five was beaten over 100 lenghts over hurdles last time but would be one to consider if rediscovering best form. The Williams charge certainly is worth a place on the shortlist.
