In depth

Verdict

Fair claims for all four but DEFINITE DREAM appeals as the one with the most scope for improvement. He had shown ability in both starts over fences before being pitched in at the deep end last time in a hot Ascot handicap chase won by Manyriverstocross in which he was pulled up with a broken blood vessel. Hopefully all is well now and he can maintain his previous progression in a far easier assignment. Phone Home has a 7lb penalty for a first career success when scoring here eight days ago and should go well again if in the same mood but lacks the class of the selection. Explained made a winning chase debut at Market Rasen last time and cannot be ruled out as he looks likely to make a better chaser than hurdler whilst Tough Talkin Man is consistent but limited, being 0-15 in chases with both hurdling successes coming on good ground.
