Verdict

Sand Skier is consistent and Nicole Nordblad's claim will help his cause. Paul Cole's string has turned the corner so Mons Calpe is worth a second look while Nave and Sherman McCoy are starting to look well handicapped and preferred to last month's course winner Pandorica. Dancing Primo made a promising reappearance in an apprentices' handicap at Newbury but has to give 7lb to ICE NELLY. An unlucky loser over 1m2f at Epsom last week, she's well worth another chance over this longer trip on that evidence. Last year's winner Shabak Hom is with a different yard now and is starting to look exposed.
