      Verdict

Close attention needs to be paid to the runners of Jim Best however it is CARRIGEEN LUNARIA who can appreciate this step up in trip and see off Pipers Legend and Petroglyph. The selection is a former point-to-point winner over three miles and she ran well on a recent comeback when tried over two miles at Towcester. The longer trip today is in her favour, she should relish the ground conditions and a big run is expected. Norman Beckett looks like an interesting top-weight after his run last time out over shorter, Little Firecracker is another stepping up in trip and she comes here in good form, as does the consistent Pipers Legend who has a pull in the weights with the former on their run here last time out. Petroglyph is unpenalised for his win at Ludlow in a conditional jockey¿s race and is an obvious player, whilst Vivarini is less exposed than many and could be well-treated off this mark of 84 in a handicap for the first time. The longer trip needs to improve the mare Happy Fleet, and a bigger threat may be Diktatorship who lurks near the bottom of the weights and comes from a yard in good form. A tricky race for punters to unravel but narrow preference is for Carrigeen Lunaria.
