In depth

Verdict

Midnight Charmer never seems to run a bad race and is back in the right grade after his latest third at Warwick. He won't be far away again while Full Ov Beans overcame trouble in-running to score by a wide margin here on New Year's Day. Ally Stirling again takes off 7lb but CRUISING BYE has much more scope than his rivals and, having made a successful start to his chase career when beating a subsequent winner at Ffos Las, can double his tally here. Bill The Lad's Towcester victory was franked but he was disappointing when a short-priced favourite on a return visit to the track on Boxing Day.
