In depth

Verdict

Sublime Talent has his sights lowered after contesting a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month. Evan Williams' gelding had dead-heated at Ludlow earlier and will make a bold bid to recapture the winning thread here but COTTON MILL arguably has more scope. Despite running green, he came right away from 11 rivals over this trip at Hereford on his hurdling debut and the promising Jack Quinlan again reduces his burden by 5lb. The others look to be playing for places, though Maison Brillet hinted at ability on his debut over timber at Kelso last season.
