Verdict

Sraid Padraig won this on his reappearance last year before racing over longer trips. He's 7lb higher this time but Tony Martin will have him spot-on. The last time Rubi Light ran in a handicap he was on a 15lb higher mark but he hasn't been in the best of form while Dick Dundee failed to take advantage of a much lower hurdles rating last time. Mister Hotelier is on the upgrade though this is a tough event in which to make a handicap debut but Way Up In The Air isn't badly treated if anywhere near his best. Lucky William didn't recover his Grade 1 winning novice form when returning after a long absence last season but Sitcom bounced right back at Cork a couple of weeks ago and, though raised 7lb, should get involved. CLONBANAN LAD is yet to win in eight starts over fences, mostly chasing home useful performers. It's about time he was losing his maiden tag and this looks a good opportunity.
