Verdict

Two very promising types contest this with SI C'ETAIT VRAI just given the vote over Kalmann, The former couldn't quite cope with Mullaghanoe River at Punchestown last month but would have gained compensation on this track earlier this month but for falling at the last when in command. Kalmann was still in touch when falling at Clonmel in December on his chasing debut then probably found the minimum trip too short at Thurles last month. Ballybogey won twice over hurdles at Ayr early last year but showed little on his return in better company and makes his chasing debut and Authinger has done nothing in his two runs over fences to suggest he can trouble the principals.
