In depth

Verdict

Meitheamh makes her handicap debut at the head of the weights but looks reasonably treated as she's competed at a high level and is unlucky not to have a win under her belt. She looks certain to give a good account but faces a stiff task conceding a stone to HAROLD'S CROSS. Christy Roche's charge won three times over fences in mid-summer and though beaten into third behind Irish Soul on his return to hurdling last month the winner has since completed a hat-trick. Askmeroe has run nine times over fences since last seen over hurdles but like the selection can race from a much lower mark and must be a threat. He was conceding 17lb to Wicklow Lad when beaten over the bigger obstacles earlier this year and has a massive advantage at the weights this time.
