UNITY was promoted to runner-up behind Akdarena in a Listed contest at Navan in April and though beaten much further by that winner in the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes on the same track last month her overall form gives her the edge here. Alburj showed promise on his debut at Leopardstown in November and was sent off favourite on his reappearance at the Curragh last month. He may have just needed the run that day but didn't do badly and progress is anticipated. The Sadler's Wells colt Sail Boat can surely do better than he showed on his racecourse debut at Leopardstown and should get involved while Maverick Man has run well on both starts this term and it was no disgrace to be beaten a couple of lengths by the useful Rain Forest at Gowran.
