Another Challenge won a Thurles bumper in February but was beaten a long way on his hurdles debut at Navan last month. King Of Firth won a bumper at Galway in October and was in touch for most of the way when tackling 2m2f over hurdles at Leopardstown on St Stephens Day. He should go well while Kandinski's second to Simonsig when last seen in a bumper on this track in April 2011 could hardly have been better advertised though the lack of a subsequent run has to be a concern. SMITHFIELD was a decent if luckless performer on the Flat and his three runs to date over hurdles suggest he'll be winning soon and today could be the day he loses his maiden tag.
