In depth

Verdict

Nutin Fancy is another Philip Hobbs contender to be kept on the right side despite his last two runs, both last spring, being way below par. Previous efforts at Chepstow indicated a decent future as a staying handicapper and he's one to keep an eye on after a 10-month absence. Genstone Trail is also returning from an absence after over 400 days off for Alan King. A winner of a 3m2f handicap hurdle at Huntingdon when last seen, he's one to watch too. Water Wagtail is a potential improver for Emma Lavelle whilst Jump Up, a Ffos Las winner in mid-October after a 23-month absence, needs to be taken seriously. However, the hopeful choice is ROCKY BENDER for Venetia Williams. His comeback run was too bad to be true but he appeals as well handicapped on his best form.
