Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

THE JAZZ MUSICIAN is the call with Vodka Brook and Qulinton the alternatives. Colin Tizzard's charge has to be respected on the basis of a wide margin victory at Taunton where he accounted for a useful type in Son Of Flicka. The ground will be of some concern but if it stays as it is, it is worth noting that he was a much superior hurdler to these and that the tongue strap that accompanied his victory remains on today. Vodka Brook is one of two runners from the Alner team. He is no stranger to racing here and should give another good account. Qulinton is one to note in the market. We did not learn a lot when he demolished a makeweight field at Southwell and we learnt even less when pulled up next time around at Ffos Las. Lordsbridge has unseated his rider on his two most recent outings. Turnworth has plenty to do on the bare form exhibited on the racecourse. The Jazz Musician can make a solo flight to the winners enclosure.
