In depth

Verdict

Desertmore Hill wasn't disgraced on his debut under Rules at Ludlow and could make a race of it here with KAYF WILLOW. But the latter's Taunton conqueror Legend Lady ran well in a Listed bumper at Aintree next time so her form looks the stronger. The sparsely-built Holy Cross was well backed on his debut at Stratford but weakened quickly off the home turn and may need another summer on his back. Warwick fourth George Herbert may also need more time while newcomer Briac has a chasing pedigree so could find the trip and conditions against him.
