In depth

Verdict

Loita Hills can give weight away to Dancing Hill, Darkshape, The Castilian and Sunset King. Philip Hobbs sent out Damarisco to land this 12 months ago and will fancy his chances of repeating the feat here with Loita Hills whose third to Pirate Flagship at Newbury in November makes him the one to beat. Granted, he failed to impress when down the field at Wincanton on his last outing in January, but the ground was softer than he would have liked, and he should be a different proposition now as he lines up after his break. Ex-Flat winner Dancing Hill has more to do than when landing a seller at Newton Abbot in August but is another that has been saved for the summer ground. However, he may be best watched after an eight-month absence, while Darkshape will find the going too fast but has winning form at Warwick to his credit. The Castilian continues to disappoint, and Sunset King has the odd place to his name, but all in all, the one with the most scope is Loita Hills despite having to shoulder topweight on his handicap debut.
