Verdict

A competitive Novices' Handicap can go the way of Quattrocento ahead of Ted Moss and Sir Peter. The selection has only had two starts in the Uk since arriving from France and as a four-year-old he gets a very heatlhy weight allowance of 9lbs today. French-bred and trained horses tend to develop slightly earlier than those trained on these shores and so whilst his inexperience may count agaisnt him, a big run should still be on the cards with the stable's horses starting to run slightly better now. Ted Moss fell last time out at the track at the first flight but his previous form gives him solid claims and he seems to act on ground with cut in. Khadija should be suited by the drop in trip today having disappointed last time out, whilst the ground will also be in his favour. Similar principles apply to Sir Peter but he has a lot of weight to carry in this ground. Militant Man is consistent but tends to find at least one too good, whilst Open Season looks sure to improve for this considerable step up in trip. Yet another to consider may be Bendarshaan who should be watched in the betting, however we will side with Quattrocento to small stakes.
