Verdict

PROVO looked one to follow this season when winning by 12 lengths over a similar trip at Wincanton on his hurdling debut. He has a penalty to carry here but that may not be enough to prevent a follow-up. Winning pointer Cloudy Copper will be interesting once he gets a bit of experience under his belt while Bangor fourth Ubique and Willoughby Hedge also have plenty of scope. Richard Johnson takes the ride on Mister Bricolage rather than stablemates Al Alfa and Ikie Mo so he may prove the pick of the remainder as Brave Deed has been a big disappointment so far under Rules.
