In depth

Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer ALLOW DALLOW encountered heavy ground for the first time at Uttoxeter and was caught in the shadow of the post by the favourite Wuff with the remainder well beaten. This looks a good opportunity to go one better. Major Milborne has to be a threat as he found the minimum trip too short at Towcester after a better run over 2m4f on testing ground at Lingfield. Both Kudu Shine and Letmespeak arrive with winning form in point-to-points and the former in particular could be useful while Royal Player has shown promise between the flags. Tinker Time has been disappointing so far over hurdles despite attracting support.
