Verdict

De Welsh Wizzard needs a market check as he does appear nicely handicapped on his latest victory but that came in the spring of 2009, which makes fitness a serious concern, while he wouldn't want the ground too soft. With enough doubts about his chance it may pay to turn to BALLYCRACKEN with the talented David Bass claiming a valuable 5lbs. In landing an Irish Point last year this horse comfortably accounted for one now rated 138 over hurdles, so a mark of 112 makes him thrown-in on that. He'll be having just his third start since joining the yard and providing market signals are positive should go close to getting off the mark on these shores. Dream Catcher is weighted to run well but requires a sound surface to do that, this is tougher than the race Cantabilly took second in recently while Swiss Art needs to show himself to be handicapped fairly although the return of headgear is a positive move.
