Verdict

MACMAR is preferred to Georgian King and Laustra Bad but this should prove to be a closely fought contest. Our selection has won here three times in the past, though two of races were over fences. However, he has been running well over hurdles and seemed to enjoy the switch to more positive tactics when winning over course and distance last time. In this sort of form he has to be considered again. Georgian King was a winner when last here over a year ago. Form since then has been a little inconsistent but he has looked improved of late and can pose a serious threat to the selection. Six-year-old Laustra Bad hasn't had a win for two years and is another who is inconsistent of late. He put in a much improved effort last time though and the going here should suit. So Now looks best of the remainder. The gelding was a winner at Bangor last time and tends to come good this time of year. The eight-year-old is capable of making the minors here but should find this a much tougher contest. Macmar is our selection here.
