Verdict

A race that would at first glance appear to revolve around Madison du Berlais, whose form over fences needs little introduction, but he's a totally different animal over the smaller obstacles on what we've seen and will surely come on a bundle for this. Instead, we'll side with MR HUDSON, who made all to win a Newton Abbot bumper when last seen. Reported by Paul Nicholls to be a nice prospect, he seems certain to improve for jumping an obstacle as a point-to-point winner and is taken to make a winning start over timber. George Nympton is probably flattered by his rating of 120 but will surely have come on for his Chepstow return and has one or two bits of form that suggest he's the biggest threat, although Ace High's bumper fifth has received one or two nice boosts and Victor Dartnall is a trainer to respect here.
