Verdict

A few of these look to have had enough for the season. Splendid Light is an exception as he's having only his fourth start and despite disappointing in better company at Pontefract when last seen in April, he should be in the mix. RESURGE has the more recent form, however, and his latest second to Black Spirit now looks even better given the latter went on to win a Group 3 race. Stuart Kittow's charge gets the vote dropped in class today. John Biscuit was a no show at York last month and is 11lb higher than when scoring over C&D in July while the inconsistent Lyssio threw one of his bad ones in at Kempton last time having won here before that.
