Verdict

AMADEUS WOLFE TONE had the misfortune of coming up against the well- handicapped Magic City last week, and with this appearing to be a much easier assignment, we'll take Jamie Osborne's four-year-old to get back to winning ways. Forceful Appeal is sure to have plenty of local confidence behind him and though he has never won on turf, this does represent something of a drop in class. Dellbuoy has struggled since the handicapper retaliated for his victory in a classified stakes at Newmarket, while Kakapuka is on a losing run despite being fairly consistent of late. Top Cop is yet to recapture the form he showed as a juvenile and Andrew Balding has dispensed with the headgear that has accompanied him on his most recent starts.
