Mark Johnston has won this for the past two years with Tartan Gigha who has dropped 6lb from last year's winning mark but hasn't been in the same kind of form coming into the race. The Middleham handler also runs Hacienda and don't be surprised by a big run from him despite poor form figures as he's dropped 8lb from his last winning mark. Dance And Dance has been in very good form despite a tendency to start slowly. He won't get away with a tardy break here but a reasonable start should see him in the firing-line. Start Right began last year on a mark of 83 and finished on 98. He had a run at Meydan in January and though not seen since that's rarely a problem for one of Luca Cumani's. Wannabe King scored on his only start on the track and on his reappearance at Sandown. He failed to obtain a clear run at York last time and the effort should be ignored. Richard Fahey runs EXTRATERRESTRIAL and Arabian Spirit with preference for the former despite a 10lb rise for an emphatic success at Thirsk where he looked right back to his best and ready to win again.
