Verdict

The last two winners, Mastercraftsman and Gitano Hernando, were Group 1 performers and though there's nothing of their calibre here ZANUGHAN is expected to take high rank. John Oxx's colt has had a few niggling problems which have restricted his appearances but he looked a fine prospect when landing a Galway Listed event last month and can go on to better things. Freedom and High Ruler represent Ballydoyle and the latter, who had some useful juvenile form but hasn't been seen since a decent effort in the Irish 1000 Guineas, could prove the better at this stage. The tough and consistent Bob Le Beau may do best of the older brigade.
