Verdict

HOME SECRETARY has now won six times though only had a nose to spare over Gun Shoot here a month ago and the latter must have a chance off 2lb lower. Third-placed Ned's Indian has boosted the form with a victory here subsequently so has to enter the reckoning but the winner is taken to confirm his victory and land this. The very versatile Goal has won nine races on all kinds of surfaces but has shot up the weights as a result of his two recent victories on Turf. Authorative landed a minor handicap at Clonmel with Stynes behind before being well beaten over hurdles at Punchestown.
