Verdict

It's about time Like Magic was losing his maiden tag on the all-weather and has dropped slightly in the ratings but he had every chance here last week and was run out of it close home. DOONARD PRINCE has never had much luck with the draw around here and isn't particularly well berthed this time but he's making good progress and a 4lb rise for his recent victory looks manageable. He can complete the double though Red Laser generally performs well here and was only caught in the final strides over a mile last time. Bangalore Prince hasn't won a race of any description in 19 starts despite having dropped to a lowly mark but Refuse Colette hasn't had much experience on the surface so it was a good effort to finish third here last time.
