In depth

Verdict

Shaiyzar has been very disappointing since making his all-weather debut here in November and is difficult to fancy even in this poor maiden. Tahaf has pulled up in two recent starts over timber but had a bit of form on the Flat in the UK and Denis Hogan will get a race out of him at some stage. Oscilate Wildly was beaten out of sight when tried over 1m6f at Wolverhampton but had some reasonable form at around this trip for Peter Chapple-Hyam and should get into the frame. SCEILG was having her first start on this surface when just failing to hold the late thrust of Papa's Way a fortnight ago. That was her first run since September and her overall form just gives her the edge. Carvelas is consistent enough in this kind of company and his best runs have come on this track.
