In depth

Verdict

THEBARBERKELLY landed a rare touch here last month and a 6lb rise looks workable. He'd shown absolutely nothing over timber on his four previous starts but it was a different matter back on the level and he had few problems beating Jumbo Steps. The runner-up renews rivalry on better terms but is still a maiden after 22 starts, though only four have been on this surface. Al Mancilia won a moderate handicap here in September but failed to fire on a return visit a month later from his new mark. Diamond Daze is another maiden though she's dropped to a fair mark and Samollie could prove a fair each-way option as he's only 2lb higher than for his last success here and got no sort of run on his most recent start last month.
