In depth

Verdict

Dashwood was staying on strongly behind Whailey in a similar race to this over 7f last month but didn't appear to show much improvement over this trip last time when he was behind Antiquus. The latter could have done with a stronger gallop when third behind Akasaka last week and this small field may not play to his strengths. DOC HOLLIDAY went up 5lb for his victory at the Curragh in August but has continued to run well and has won twice here in the past. A line through Akasaka just about gives him the edge and Robbie Downey's claim can see him back in the winner's enclosure. Bourbon Prince failed to win a race for Michael Bell and finished last in a Yarmouth seller in August and Canon Law has a mountain to climb at the ratings.
