Verdict

Trainer Matty Tynan said Maontri has been tricky to train and she was having only her sixth start when running away with a handicap last week under a fine tactical ride from Colin Keane. She's been hit with a massive 15lb rise and won't get things her own way this time. Reckless Lad is better over a mile and looked tapped for pace over 7f last week but the veteran Mountain Coral loves it around here and has no problems with the trip as he showed when beating Miller Beach last month. CALIFANTE, a winner in the UK for Richard Hannon, had his first start for new connections last month and ran very well behind Dancing Cosmos so it's a surprise the assessor has left him on the same mark. He can take this though The Black Devil is likely to provide a threat as he very nearly made all over a mile last time.
