In depth

Verdict

MURTAGH was in the hands of today's young rider when just touched off by Force Of Habit in a blanket finish over 1m3f here last month. That was his first start since November and a 4lbs rise shouldn't pose too much of a problem. Mad Existence was in good form when last seen at the backend of last year and is on the same mark as when gaining her only success on the track. Do The Deal found a mile much too sharp on her two latest starts here and is better judged on her two runs on the track in November when not beaten far in similar company. Imperial Belle finished runner-up over timber at Ballinrobe on Tuesday and may need further than this but Metropolis will have found Gowran's 1m1f on the short side last time after a fair effort over today's course and distance.
