Verdict

THE RING IS KING can take this as he was in winning form over timber and on the Flat last summer and made a very encouraging return when just failing to catch Attraction Ticket over the course and distance last week with Timjoe, Little Arrows and Balmont Flyer behind. Ningaloo Reef ran a rare poor race behind Deep Speed a month but is still just 4lb higher than when successful here in November though he's had some hard races lately. Most of these ran in a similar handicap a month ago won by Senyuman, who was completing a double. It was a blanket finish in which Timjoe, Little Arrows and Denny Crane were close behind and Shake The Bucket not too far away so there's very little between any of them.
