Carvelas ran very well over the track and trip on his final start last year when narrowly beaten by Balmont Flyer, though he reappears under a huge weight. First Friday is generally very consistent and closely matched with the top weight on a line through Balmont Flyer but Silenceofthewind has yet to win on the surface in 11 starts. Poly Pomona ran easily her best race since transferring from the UK behind Fairylike over a mile here last month and the longer trip will suit but Atlas Peak rarely runs over a trip this far and is much better known as a miler. GABH MO LEITHSCEAL had some strong form last season without winning and was made favourite on his reappearance here last month. He led for a long way before weakening and with that under his belt can gain his first success.
