In depth

Verdict

Rodriguez was pulled up over hurdles last month after a couple of very good efforts over the C&D in March. East Of Tara has gone up a massive 24lb since she scored over the C&D in February but will have found a mile too short when behind tonight's rival BARROW ISLAND last month. The winner came with a late burst and, as he will definitely be suited by this trip, he gets the vote. All three of Akasaka's victories have been over a mile as was the shock victory of Hunting Goddess in a maiden here last month but Badger Daly, another winning miler, should have no problems with the longer trip having earlier run in bumpers. Night Glimmer won at this fixture last year and goes well fresh so a long absence isn't a problem.
