Verdict

Paene Magnus was making his handicap debut when leading all the way for an impressive victory over the C&D last month. He's been raised 9lb but is progressing fast and Ronan Whelan is well worth his claim. Bendzoldan is looking a bit high in the weights after completing a hat-trick in the summer but DUMBARTON won over this trip at Windsor for Sir Michael Stoute and enters the fray in cracking form having scored over hurdles at Cork last month. He makes his Polytrack debut but can continue his progress and take this. Imaginationrunwild started favourite and was beaten 4l by Via Ballycroy last time so a big run by the winner in the previous race will be a pointer as it is for Brown Butterfly, who finished runner-up that day but is still a maiden on the all-weather.
