Denis Hogan has ben making a name for himself with the placing of his runners and though recent C&D winner Love Nest has a big weight and 6lb extra Ronan Whelan's claim is a big help. Kalacan has some fine form both on this surface and Turf but he's never won on Polytrack and has only one success to his credit overall. Polly Ella has won twice here, both times over 1m3f, so this looks too short but the lightly-raced Red Laser is progressing and can't go much lower in the ratings. SHARP AND SMART is having her first run over a mile after staying on strongly in recent starts over 7f. She's suited by the track and Mick Halford's filly looks good enough to gain her first success.
