Verdict

The four-year-old Faanan Aldaar started favourite for a maiden here last month after a fine previous effort on the track but had no answer to Un Beau Roman and Shershewill, who runs earlier on the card. She gets all the allowances here and her young rider can claim 7lb so it will be a surprise if she's not in the hunt though SOWEHEARD may prove too strong. Gordon Elliott's charge had some strong form between the flags before making a very creditable start under Rules at Ballinrobe where he was staying on well over that 2m4f so this looks ideal. Jolly Mac Vic has run well enough to enter the equation and Ciarans Oscar will appreciate a return to quicker ground as easily his best run came on good going at Wexford in October when narrowly beaten by Call Rog.
