Verdict

EL GRANDE won a point on good ground in April and made an encouraging start under Rules when just failing to catch Finea over this track and trip last month. With more improvement to come he can again take care of the more experienced Cadawill, who was three lengths back in third. Island Master is only six and on the upgrade judging by his narrow defeat at Tipperary. Derek O'Connor will ensure he gets a good ride and he looks a bigger threat than Tiger Sam, who disappointed when fancied at Tipperary.
