In depth

Verdict

Neither of Gordon Elliott's pair, Harry's Summer nor hurdling newcomer High Expectations, have shown much to date but can be expected to improve. Celtic Artisan showed a bit of promise on his hurdling bow at Roscommon when Prussian Eagle, who was much better on the Flat and attracted good support, was well beaten after jumping moderately. Well in front of both that day was CABARETE, who had done nothing on the Flat but showed that hurdling is his game with an excellent performance, beaten just a length by Atan. He's finished runner-up again on the same track and can go one better though anything Willie Mullins saddles has to be respected and Verawal, despite three poor runs on the Flat, is certain to attract support.
